Craft is always a great activity for Scouts to engage in. Regardless of whether it is Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers or Leaders everyone in the Scout Association thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to get crafty and let their imagination do all the work while having fun together.
So, when the sewing machines & modelling clay arrived at Scouts one night everyone was keen to get involved and be creative.
Using the sewing machines the Scouts turned t-towels into dilly bags. Enjoying the experience of using the machines the engagement and concentration levels were high. The result, a useful dilly bag for future Scouting adventures. When not making dilly bags the Scouts had a lot of fun talking and creating as they moulded the modelling clay in a variety of different and entertaining characters. A creative and fun youth led program, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
