Today started with Snow Parade, where wearing our scarves we created a parade ground on the snow and raised the Australian Flag, something we would do every morning while at the Chalet. Again, it was a stunning day with clear skies and wonderful views of our immediate surrounds. Once inside we enjoyed a delicious breakfast before being introduced to our daily duties. Breaking into our duty patrols we began chopping wood, doing dishes, cleaning toilets, emptying bins, vacuuming, clearing entrances and preparing lunch.
Today was our ski school day. A day to further develop our skiing skills and help us prepare for snow touring throughout the week.
Skiing back along the aqueduct we turned off and followed the track up to Wallace's Hut. Basing ourselves above Wallace's Hut we spent the remainder of the day working together to improve our skills while challenging each other to try new things. It was an enjoyable day where everyone had fun and improved their skills as well as their confidence and looked forward to extending their explorations further out onto the High Plains throughout the SnowVenture Program.
